Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hancock Digital Design LLC, a Colorado limited liability company that operates The Adaptive Golfer (the "Service"), collects your personal data, why, and what control you have. The short version: we collect what the Service needs to work, we don't sell your data, and you can access or delete it.

1. What we collect

• Account data: your name, email, and password (stored only as a secure hash), plus optional profile details such as handicap, timezone, and practice preferences.
• Security data: if you enable two-factor authentication or a passkey, we store the associated secrets and credentials in encrypted form so you can sign in securely.
• Practice data: the sessions, drill results, rounds, plans, and any notes you record. This is the product — it exists so the Service can show you trends and build your plans.
• Billing data: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we store only Stripe identifiers, your subscription status, and the card brand and last four digits Stripe returns to us.
• Email capture: if you join the toolkit list, a free-chapter offer, or the launch waitlist, we store your email and which list you joined.
• Technical data: standard session and server records, including your IP address and browser user-agent, used for sign-in, security, and debugging.

2. How we use it

To provide the Service, to send transactional email (receipts, password resets, verification), and — only if you opted in — occasional product and book updates. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Legal bases (GDPR)

For users in the EU/EEA/UK: we process account and practice data to perform our contract with you, marketing emails on the basis of your consent, and security and technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the Service safely.

4. Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can edit your profile and permanently delete your account from your account settings. To receive a copy of your data (data portability), contact us and we'll provide it. Residents of US states with consumer-privacy laws — including California (CCPA/CPRA) and Colorado (Colorado Privacy Act) — have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. We honor verified requests within 30 days.

5. Retention

Account and practice data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons — for example, billing and tax records, which we retain for up to seven years as required by law. We may retain aggregated or de-identified data — information that no longer identifies you, such as anonymized practice statistics — indefinitely to improve the Service.

6. Processors and international transfers

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Service, each of which processes it on our instructions:

• Stripe — payment processing (as merchant of record) and billing.
• Zoho — marketing and lifecycle email, if you have opted in.
• Sentry — error monitoring (configured not to collect personal data).
• Bunny Stream — hosting of the public drill videos.
• Our hosting and backup providers — to run and safeguard the Service, with off-site backups stored in encrypted form.

Some of these providers are located in the United States, so using the Service may involve transferring your data internationally; where required, such transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. A current list of processors is available on request.

7. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and security. For product and traffic analytics we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly service that is cookieless, sets no tracking cookies, and collects no personal data — so no consent banner is required.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
