This Privacy Policy explains how Hancock Digital Design LLC, a Colorado limited liability company that operates The Adaptive Golfer (the "Service"), collects your personal data, why, and what control you have. The short version: we collect what the Service needs to work, we don't sell your data, and you can access or delete it.
To provide the Service, to send transactional email (receipts, password resets, verification), and — only if you opted in — occasional product and book updates. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. The one case in which we share limited data with an advertising platform is ad measurement through the Meta pixel described in section 7, which you can opt out of.
For users in the EU/EEA/UK: we process account and practice data to perform our contract with you, marketing emails on the basis of your consent, and security and technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the Service safely.
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can edit your profile and permanently delete your account from your account settings. To receive a copy of your data (data portability), contact us and we'll provide it. Residents of US states with consumer-privacy laws — including California (CCPA/CPRA) and Colorado (Colorado Privacy Act) — have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. We honor verified requests within 30 days.
Account and practice data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons — for example, billing and tax records, which we retain for up to seven years as required by law. We may retain aggregated or de-identified data — information that no longer identifies you, such as anonymized practice statistics — indefinitely to improve the Service.
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Service, each of which processes it on our instructions:
Some of these providers are located in the United States, so using the Service may involve transferring your data internationally; where required, such transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. A current list of processors is available on request.
We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and security. For product and traffic analytics we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly service that is cookieless, sets no tracking cookies, and collects no personal data.
While we run advertising campaigns, our pages also load the Meta pixel so we can tell whether our ads lead to sign-ups. It sets two cookies (_fbp, a browser identifier, and _fbc, an ad-click identifier, kept for up to 90 days) and reports page views and conversion events — joining an email list, registering, subscribing — to Meta Platforms, together with your IP address and browser type. When you complete one of those actions, we also send Meta the same event from our server with your email address in irreversibly hashed form, so the two reports can be matched and counted once. Meta may combine this with the information it holds about you under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Meta using this data through your Meta ad settings ("Activity information from ad partners"); doing so does not affect the Service. Because the server-side report is sent from our systems, browser cookie settings alone do not stop it. We do not use this data for any purpose other than measuring our own advertising.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
