The Adaptive Golfer is a golf practice system — a book and web app that build data-driven, adaptive 4-week practice plans with handicap-band benchmarks and Practice Strokes Gained tracking.
Most amateurs practice for years without improving because reps without feedback engrave mistakes. The Adaptive Golfer scores every drill you log as Practice Strokes Gained against your handicap band's benchmarks, finds the pillar holding your scores back, and builds a four-week practice plan that adapts as you improve — a cycle the book calls the Adaptive Loop. It launched in July 2026 alongside the book of the same name by founder Scott Hancock.
Scott Hancock built The Adaptive Golfer after spending $5,000 on a home simulator to work out why years of range practice weren't lowering his scores. The answer was feedback — so he designed a measurement-first practice system, wrote the methodology into a book, and built the web app that runs it. He lives and plays in Colorado.
