THE Adaptive Golfer

3–7 handicap benchmarks

Here is what a 3 to 7 handicap golfer should be scoring across the Adaptive Golfer drills. These targets come straight from the book's benchmark tables, and each drill trains one of the five pillars. Hit them consistently and your handicap follows.

DRILLTARGET
Pressure Putting (Points System) 21–21 (higher is better)
The 9-Shot Landing Zone 22–25 (higher is better)
The Alignment Stick Impact Drill 7–8 clean passes (higher is better)
The Gate Drill 7–8 clean passes (higher is better)
The Gate Putting Drill 7–8 clean passes (higher is better)
The Lag Putting Ladder 10–12 (higher is better)
The Up-and-Down Competition 10–11 (higher is better)
Worst-Ball Scoring 12–14 (lower is better)

Where do 3–7 handicaps lose strokes?

Low handicappers usually have sound ball-striking. The strokes hide in the scoring zone: wedge proximity, lag putting, and avoiding the big number off the tee.

Where do you actually stand?

Benchmarks tell you the target. The Adaptive Golfer tells you your real weakness and exactly what to practice next.
